Host a fun-filled bridal shower by playing these interactive games
1. The Nearly-wed Game
Put the bride-to-be to the test by quizzing her about details of her fiancé just like the ’60s game show. Create a list of funny and personal questions beforehand and have the groom answer them. On the day of the shower, compare his answers with hers to see if she guessed correctly.
2. Toilet Paper Wedding Dress
Channel your inner Vera Wang to design a wedding dress made entirely of toilet paper. Divide the bunch into teams, choose a model and set the timer. No scissors or tape allowed! The bride-to-be chooses the best dressed at the end.
3. Fairytale Favourites
If you grew up OBSESSED with Disney, then this game is a must. Create a scrambled list of your favourite songs from various fairytales with the corresponding movie title and have guests match them up.
4. Ring Pop Game
Begin the shower by handing out ring pops to each attendee. If at any point during the day, someone says “bride,” they have to give up their ring to the person who caught them. The person with the most at the end wins.
5. Pin the Moustache on the Groom
We all played this as a kid, however the grown-up version has a twist. Print out a life-size cutout of the bride-to-be’s groom, blindfold guests and have them pin a moustache on him.
6. Taste the Cake
Let your sweet table serve two purposes in one. Alongside eating all the bite-size cakes, cupcakes and cake pops, have everyone focus on their taste buds by guessing the flavours.
7. The Age Game
Take a stroll down memory lane by creating a board filled with pictures of the bride-to-be at different ages. Give each guest a sheet with the corresponding photo’s number and a blank space next to it for the answer.
8. Musical Bouquet
Think musical chairs, but with a bouquet. Gather everyone into a circular seating arrangement and pass a bouquet as music plays. Whenever it stops, the person holding it is eliminated. Last player sitting is the winner.
9. Toilet Paper Roll
This risqué game is for adults only! Separate the group into teams of two and have one guest place a broomstick between their knees and the other a toilet paper roll. You can guess the rest…
10. Cold Feet
This neat game takes the age-old saying literally. Place plastic rings in an ice-cold bucket of water and have guests plunge their feet into it using only their toes to fish them out. Whoever gets the most in a minute wins.
